[HLMainPic] F/O John Tilsley was a very early WW2 PoW, taken prisoner on 16th October 1939 when the Whitley Mk. III of which crew he formed part was shot down by flak near Frankfurt on a leaflet dropping mission on Munchen. The pilot was killed and the other four crew members were captured. This was the first aircraft lost in the war by 77 Squadron. Small but interesting collection. VG. See illustration on our webite.   £45
