A short tribute/memoir followed by his letters from France 1918-19 which include descriptions of aerial combat, squadron life, &c. He was killed in an accident neat Treves on 1st March 1919 while flying a single-seater Fokker: apparently he enjoyed trying out German aircraft. A moving tribute with num. photos. from childhood through to his funeral, with several named groups of officers of the 88th Aero Squadron, &c. Orig. olive green cloth, gilt to front & sp., VG.
