[HLMainPic] Contains the author's personal experiences alongside a general account of the services of American doctors attached to the BEF during 1917-18 (when many were lent to British units at the Front), with much detail on the services of US doctors attached to British infantry battalions (inc. a number of personal accounts provided to the author), with a roll of those who so served, plus rolls of US doctors with several American Base Hospitals. Contains a large amount of interesting detail on the services of these doctors with various British (identified) units, notably 9th (S) Bn. Rifle Brigade, 9th (S) Bn. Royal Fusiliers, 11th Middlesex, &c, as well as various Field Ambulances & other medical units.
