Attractively produced with col. decoration throughout, green morocco binding, gilt, this copy individualised by gilt blocking on front & illuminated presentation within to J. Stubbins, whose name appears in the list of those who served, in orig. box of issue (also with his name, split & worn however) with loosely inserted 'Cover for Certifivates' &c, given to soldiers on demobilization, containing Pte. James Stubbins' Certificate of Demobilization from the Cheshire Regt., 1919, showing that he had served overseas on Active Service; also two x Certificate of Employment During the War ("He has served in the field during the war & was diligent & well disciplined.") It is believed that around 13 volumes appeared in this series of lavish memorials, published for private family circulation at 5 guineas a copy. This superb vol., printed on fine art paper throughout & finely bound with all edges gilt, contains names from Addenbrooke-Ziegler (the contents between the first & last entries often vary).
