Including operations in Flanders 1915-16 (St. Eloi, Sanctuary Wood & Hooge) Somme 1916 (Courcelette & Regina Trench), Vimy Ridge 1917, Passchendaele, Amiens & Hindenburg Line 1918, &c. Roll of Hon., awards, nominal roll. Perkins usefully explains that "The volume is divided into two 'Books.' The first is a detailed account of the Bde's formation, move to England, landing in France, & subsequent services on the Western Front. This is readable & interesting, with many officers mentioned in the text. The second part deals quite fully with 15 & 16 Btys which served with the Bde until 1916 but were then transferred to 6 Bde. A useful source for the genealogist & for students of WW1 field gunnery." Orig. blue cloth, titled in red with col. onlay to front, little wear, generally VG ex-Royal Canadian Military Institute Lib., with older bookplate recording ownership of Douglas Huycke, listed as wounded on 31/5/16 & demobbed in 1919, & beneath this bookplate his ink inscrip., passing the book on to a friend.
