German light cruiser disabled by the RN in the Rufiji delta in July 1915, whose armament & crew largely escaped to fight with von Lettow's land forces. Orig. blue cloth, gilt, sp. sl. tanned o/w VG with eight loosely inserted very nice photos. taken in 1950, of the remains of 'Konigsberg' (at that time still in great shape & evidently possible to board), her decks & guns, plus a view of a German liner & a floating dock, also scuttled 1915/16.
