                     Jewish officer's interesting memoirs; he held a pre-war commission in the 6th Londons & gives a useful profile of the bn. he joined in 1909, mobilization, training 1914-15 & active service with the 47th Div. in F&F from March 1915 'til wounded at Loos. After a year with the reserve bn. he was attd. 4th North Staffs., 40th Div. 1917-18 then in March 1918 was appointed to the 40th [Jewish] Bn. Royal Fusiliers, serving with them in the UK & with the Egyptian Expeditionary Force 1918-1919. Orig. limp wraps. with paper lettering label to front, VG. (Also seen in hardback form.)
