A memoir of 2nd Lt. Dinsmore Ely mainly comprising his letters from France 1917-18, together with an account of his burial &c. In July 1917 he was accepted into the Lafayette Flying Corps & was killed in action in aerial combat on 21st April 1918. Orig. dark red cloth, gilt to front & sp., VG & scarce.
