Scarce privately printed memoirs of an American volunteer serving at 43 bis, a hospital at St. Valery-en-Caux, Normandy, from Jan.-June 1917, then as a driver for the French Wounded Emergency Fund & after that as a canteen worker with the French Army until invalided in mid-1918. Orig. paper covd. boards with black cloth backstrip. Spine rubbed (title indistinct) & rear board dampstained. Sound thus. See illustration on our website.
