Western Front 1915-18. Hutchison, a curious but brave individual, commanded the 33rd Bn. MGC, notably at the defence of Meteren during the German Lys Offensive in 1918 (an incident somewhat devalued by his repetition of the story at every possible opportunity). Sassoon served with 2/RWF in the Div. & is listed among the wounded at Arras in 1917. Various rolls of staff, officers & casualties. This superior edition contains 16 col. prints of Western Front scenes depicted by Hutchison, some purportedly drawn whilst in action, each tipped onto card & individually captioned & signed in ink by the artist, also present are several panoramic views &c. not present in the more common (but in itself scarce) standard edition. Somewhat marked/won but complete & sound. See illustrations on our website.
