Good accounts of the campaigns ("Respecting the Crimea & the Indian Mutiny I have received... much help from former officers... especially from Sir Evelyn Wood [who gave] many interesting particulars respecting the chase of Tantia Topee."). Fine col. plates of uniforms & a scene in Central India during the Mutiny. Orig. black cloth with white vellum stripe, VG & scarce with bookplate of G.H.H. Peppe, who served in the regiment during WW1.
