Rare personal experiences of Turkish captivity after the fall of Kut, chronicling the appalling conditions of the BORs & several escape attempts. During the campaign in Mesopotamia, the Siege of Kut & subsequent captivity the author (who was born in Rushden, Northamptonshire, in 1895) was serving with the 63rd Battery, RFA.
