Detailed records of the bn. in France from Oct. 1915 to 1st July 1916 (inclusive). The principal recorder of events was Capt. A.P.I. Samuels, OC "C" Coy., who intended to complete a record of the bn. at war, but was Killed in Action on 24/9/16. His diary forms the basis of this history, supplemented by other regimental records.
