A.1. 1:20,000. Blank message form to reverse.
Small paper trench map, 225x155mm., German trenches before Langemarck at the Steenbeek &c., with unused message form printed on reverse. Prepared by 5th FS Coy. RE & printed by No. 2 Advanced Section AP&SS, dated 9/7/1917. It seems incredible now that message maps of this area were prepared before the 3rd Ypres attack: Langemarck was not in fact reached until 20th September. See illustrations on our website.
