Author was a member of The American Industrial Mission to France. At the conclusion of the Mission's four weeks' work in late 1916 the members "were invited to make a six days' visit along the battle-front, from Belfort to Rheims." The author records this tour under the guidance of French officers. Orig. paper covd. boards with cloth backstrip, labels to sp. & front, VG with presentation inscrip. from the author & bookplate of the recipient, Arthur S. Bent. Hoggson was an architect who specialised in building & planning banks in NYC & partner in Hoggson Brothers; Arthur S.
