Outstanding & very well illustrated campaign history of Younghusband's Tibet expedition of 1903-04, with numerous superb plates, various officers' services & deeds related within, also incorporating the author's personal account of his experiences attached to the 1st Coy. Mounted Infantry. Of particular value for adherents of the 23rd & 32nd Sikh Pioneers, & 8th Gurkhas, the regiments of the original Tibet Mission Force, which performed most of the severest fighting. Orig. red cloth, gilt, covers marked & patchily faded, several small stamps of Wardroom, RNAS Belfast, o/w sound but unfortunately lacking two plates, hence inexpensive copy.
