Just 2pp. letterpress followed by excellent photographic record of the Leeds Pals (a number of them identified) in training at Ripon & Fovant & three months in Egypt prior to going to France in March 1916 (in time to be devastated at Serre on 1/7/16). Interesting record of New Army unit from formation to active service. Superior edition, full red morocco, gilt to front & sp., marbled endpapers & attractive dec. margins to eps., little rubbed externally o/w very nice example & scarce.
