A typically detailed 'Becke' treatise, based on study of unit war diaries, statements of officers &c., re XLI Brigade RFA's batteries in action at the Battle of Nonne Bosschen, near Polygon Wood on the Menin Road, inc. list of officers of the Brigade present at the action. This copy with Becke's AFB handstamps to front cover, first leaf & maps, together with his presentation inscrip. "To The Imperial War Museum Library from The Author. August, 1925." Several stamps (including Withdrawn stamp) of the IWM. One small ink correction to the text in the author's hand. Interesting copy & rare.
