Relatively early ERO map (all others we have seen date from the later part of 1918), being parts of sheets 51A & 51B, showing German reserve lines such as the Oppy-Mericourt Line, Canal du Nord Line &c., south-west of Douai inc. Vitry-en-Artois, Marquion, &c., also aerodromes, railhead, retraining point, battery areas, evacuated villages, Div. HQs, telephone centres &c. Oisy le Verger is noted as both a Div. HQ & an "Important Communication Centre." Fldg. cloth backed map of region to the north of Cambrai, printed in November 1917, doubtless in preparation for Cambrai offensive. Printed title to front.
