[HLMainPic] Benuzzi was an officer of the Italian Colonial Service at Addis, & a keen mountaineer: incarcerated by the British at PoW Camp 354 in Kenya, he escaped with two others & scaled 17,000 ft. Mount Kenya, to relieve the tedium of camp life, before returning, breaking back in & giving themselves up to the camp commandant. Their only map was an artist's impression on the side of an Oxo tin.
