"Surprisingly, this is the only free-standing published record of one of South Africa's longest serving units... it fought in the Anglo-Boer War at Elandslaagte & in Northern Natal... Mobilised again in 1914, it took part in the GSWA campaign. In WWII, the NFA saw much action, & suffered many casualties, in the Western Desert...
