Campbell was a regular officer in the HLI who was wounded at Neuve Chapelle in 1915 then transferred to RFC & became a pilot: he joined a Scout Squadron & was on active service for two years until wounded in action in the air. Atmospheric account of flying over the Somme &c. Orig. blue cloth, titled in white, somewhat rubbed, generally VG with inset of author in flying kit to front. See illustration on our website.
