A Record of the 2nd Bucks Battalion T.F. 1914-1918. Presented to the Bucks TF Assoc. by Lord Anslow, CB, Chairman of the Association. 1st Ed., orig. dec. card wraps., 24pp., 4to. No imprint/date. nd (c.1919).  #62225
[HLMainPic] Not to be confused with the battalion history by Swann, this is a souvenir "To commemorate the patriotism, the bravery & the sacrifice of this Battalion during the great European War..." It contains a brief history, Rolls of Honour (noting date of death & in the case of other ranks their home town), rolls of awards to all ranks (some with citations), lists of officers who served overseas or at home with the battalion. This copy with ink ownership to front of Lt. A.G. Stewart, 2/1st Bucks. Bn. O. & B.L.I., numerous small annotation by him to the rolls (such as noting the operations in which some of the men were killed during his service with the bn., which he joined in Sept. 1917), newspaper cutting re death of the former MO in 1952. He has also added at the front a magazine portrait of his CO (Col. Christie Miller, DSO, MC) & at the rear a real photo. portrait in uniform of himself. Interesting copy. See illustrations on our website.   £80
