One of six 60-pdr. batteries in the regular army of 1914: Western Front throughout the war. Awards lists. "Written with a shrewd eye for the significant or interesting." - Falls p.98. VG & scarce, inscribed on frontis. portrait: "Yours to the last round. Harold F. Berdinner" with an interesting two-page handwritten letter from him to another "ex-Sparks" (i.e. wireless operator) explaining that he published the book himself a a cost of £130 and was - in June 1923 - "still wanting about £30 'to register O.K.'"
