The NZEF experience of Gallipoli, France & Flanders based on author's service with 2nd Bn. Auckland Regt. from the initial landing at ANZAC to the end of the war. Not in Perkins. Burton also wrote the Auckland regimental history; in WW2 he was imprisoned as a conscientious objector. Orig. red cloth, titled in black, VG in attractive dw, this sl. chipped /torn & sl. stained. From the library of Henry Williamson, uninscribed but with a few later (biro) notes to rear ep referencing pages/events, plus a few passages marked with a some brief marginal annotations in the Passchendaele chapters. Nice copy overall, rare in dw. See illustration on our website.
