[HLMainPic] Stanley Arthur Rutledge, formerly a law student, served in the 28th Canadian Infantry (Saskatchewan Regiment) then transferred to the Royal Flying Corps. He was killed in a flying accident in England on 16th November 1917, aged twenty-seven, and is buried in Harlaxton (Saints Mary and Peter) Churchyard in Lincolnshire. This work contains letters and essays written at the Front (including his "Pen Pictures from the Trenches"), with just a brief Foreword by John A. Paterson, K.C. Orig. quarter hessian cloth with green cloth covered boards, gilt to the hessian strip and spine, VG with memorial card (including portrait) tipped-in on paste-down & ffep.   £120
