One of the earliest posters issued under the auspices of the PRCRecords the details of the Treaty of 1839 by which Britain, Germany, Austria, France & Russia guaranteed Belgian neutrality, but which Germany broke in 1914, ("the German Chancellor remarking that it was only a 'scrap of paper.'" As well as detailing these facts the poster reproduces the seals & signatures of the nations who were party to the agreement. Printed by Hanbury, Tomsett & Co., London NW.
