Remains the only biog. of Rawly (Sudan, Boer War, GOC IV Corps 1914-15, commander of 4th Army on the Somme & in the Final Advance 1918 &c.) although the 1915-18 period is effectively addressed in Prior & Wilson's 'Command on the Western Front.'
