No. 39 Cpl. (later Sgt.) Edwards served with No. 1 Coy., PPCLI & was captured near Bellewarde when the bn. was all but destroyed, 8th May 1915; PoW at Giessen from where he made his first escape & was sent to a punishment camp at Vehnmoor on recapture, finally escaped again. The narrator also served with the PPCLI during the events described. Orig. mustard cloth, titled in black, little rubbed & worn, sound & scarce. See illustration on our website.
