Very good & scarce account by OC 1/2 Highland Field Ambulance, later ADMS 51st Div. He describes operations throughout the Division's service 1915-18 & gives a good outline of medical arrangements on the battlefield. Orig. blue cloth, gilt, VG in attractive illustrated dw which includes a photo. portrait of the author on the sp. panel. Jacket neatly internally restored & VG thus. Rare in jacket & a nice copy with loosely inserted obit. of the author from the Lancet, 1949. See illustration on our website.
