JUTLAND: Souvenir of the Victory of Jutland, May 31st 1916. Decorative wall hanger souvenir, 30cm deep by 8cm wide, with lettering, portraits (King George V flanked by Admirals Jellicoe & Beatty) & historic naval scenes & motifs printed in colour on silk with slim wooden spindles at top & bottom. Raphael Tuck & Sons. Contemp.  #68382
[HLMainPic] Attractive souvenir piece printed by one of the foremost makers of work of this type during the early part of the 20th Century (of Prussian origin, ironically). Sl. frayed at edges, VG overall, colours remain bright & clear, this example notable in that it is, most unusually, signed by Admiral Jellicoe - commander of the Grand Fleet during this epic naval battle of the Great War & arguably the victor - in indelible pencil in the field below the printed date of the action. A rather fine collectable piece. See illustrations on our website.   £250
