[HLMainPic] Excellent, atmospheric & detailed account of the expedition of 1867-68 by the Special Correspondent of the Times of India; appended to which is Napier's 50pp. Despatches regarding the Battle of Arogee, & Storming of Magdala, as well as other events, which includes the names of those units & officers noted for distinction & concludes with Statistics Relating to the Transport Service, numbers of troops engaged, statement of casualties & causes of death. Orig. purple cloth, blindstamped & gilt, somewhat dusty & sunned, but a nice survival in original state & rare, with author's inscription to ffep: "To Mrs Claridge, with kind regards, from that notorious young scapegrace The Author.
