Exceptionally rare history of Tank Battalion raised in England in August 1917, then to France in Jan. 1918 & first employed as machine gunners to help stem the German advance at Kemmel & elsewhere; after this they were equipped with Mark V Tanks, trained on them, then took part in the Battle of Hamel & onward offensives in August-Sept. 1918 across the Hindenburg Line &c. Much interesting detail, many individuals mantioned by name, followed by roll of awards, Roll of Hon. (all ranks, killed or wounded, with date), & a detailed roll of officers' services. Orig. blue cloth, titled in yellow, minor wear, generally VG.
