In 1807 the regiment was ordered for service, took part in bombardment of Copenhagen & later in Peninsular inc. Corunna, Battle of Busaco, Ciudad Rodrigo, Badajos. Editions appeared in 1835 & 1839 under the title "Memoirs of a Sergeant late in the Forty-Third" - this one dates from 1878 (Library Hub refers).
