Striking colour design depicts a confident, smiling British soldier in khaki standing on the continent, his left foot on Ypres and his right near Boulogne, holding hands across the English Channel with a working man in cloth cap, in back view and somewhat diffident pose: a powerful, shaming, appeal as he knows where he should be. Very scarce poster, large format (double standard poster size). 25,000 copies printed by David Allen & Sons, Harrow, in Sept. 1915, stored flat, has previously been folded & generally VG indeed, just one or two chips along one of the folds. See illustration on our website.
