A very substantial work compiled in MI10, the War Office Intelligence Department charged with "Technical Intelligence on all foreign countries, including foreign small arms, guns, all types of vehicles, foreign electronic equipment, fore control instruments, engineer equipment, arctic equipment, airborne equipment, foreign guided weapons,, chemical & flame warfare & other aspects." Part of the series "designed to put on record essential information on the armament of the German Land Forces during the war. It includes some of the more interesting equipments which were developed, but which, due to the conclusion of hostilities, or to production difficulties, did not come into general service." This volume includes anti-tank, field, medium, heavy & super-heavy weapons. These weapons & their ammunition &c. are described in detail & accompanied by fine photogravure plates. Bound in brown cloth, titled in gilt to sp., c.1970s, with orig. printed cover laid down to front, VG ex-IWM lib., (withdrawn). No indication of the number printed but presumably had a very limited circulation. The first volume, re Infantry Weapons, was compiled c.1945, was never issued. See illustrations on our website.
